Experimental and numerical investigation of the effect of variable operating conditions on PEMFC performance

The operating parameters have an important impact on the performance of a proton exchange membrane fuel cell (PEMFC). This paper investigates experimentally and numerically temperature relative humidity which significant influence PEMFC current density. These are adjusted simultaneously dynamically during operation. A 50 cm2 active area single-cell with serpentine flow channel was studied. In order to confirm experimental measurements, mathematical model established using MATLpackage program results were compared. According both results, adjusting operation instantly according value produced by had positive effect durability performance.
